Sold!

We put our house on the market on Monday and had two full offers (actually $1000 above asking) by Thursday morning. I signed the offer that had a one day inspection period. The inspection was this morning. That went smoothly, and we are now proceeding to closing on July 16th. This couple really wanted the house. All I know about them is that they rent in Magnolia and they loved the house!

Wednesday night, there were three showings so we had to be out of the house. That meant that I got to hang out with my two favorite guys at some of Seattle's best parks.

We first took Pepper to the Magnuson dog park. It's not very convenient to Magnolia, but it will be much more convenient to Montlake. We'll be taking Pepper here much more often once we move. He loves this park. He would go regularly with his dog walker.

Later on, after we returned to Magnolia, we walked over to the park that is a few blocks up the hill. It's not an off-leash area, but it still had a water fountain for dogs. The views are amazing from this park, as you can see. I'll miss being by the Sound.

We're Moving!!

We're in the process of buying this house. We will close and move in next month. We put our current house on the market Monday. We've gotten some interest, so keep your fingers crossed for us!

We love this new house! It's in the Montlake neighborhood of Seattle, which is very close to the 520 bridge across Lake Washington. This means that it will help my commute to Microsoft. I can walk to a bus that goes directly to Microsoft's campus. It's still very convenient to downtown and Steve has a few choices for buses to go to Cray. We hope to go down to one car because the house is so centrally located and convenient to public transportation.

The house was built in 1928 and has been so well maintained through the years. It's a solid house with lots of charm. And, it's got a nice backyard for Pepper.

Once we move, we'll send out our new address and more pictures.
